Review: KCMike has updated his famous Catering Workbook back in April and my lazy a$$ is just now getting it uploaded. With the collapse of the economy I don't have to worry about work anymore so I have plenty of time! Seriously though, Mike's spreadsheets have become the standard in the BBQ world for estimating quantities to cook for almost any event. They are useful for calculating amount of raw meat required, cost per serving, retail cost, and profitability. Great Job, Mike! Thanks.

NOTE: Microsoft Excel is required to use these, or any another XLS opening application.

Version Update Details:

  • Easily override meat retention percentage for entire spreadsheet by entering a single value.
  • Spreadsheet now allows user to calculate their own material/supplies costs and profit margins with and without sales tax.
  • New meat calculations for Beef Tri-tip and Chicken Quarters
  • Three new user determined meat categories with their own separately configurable meat retention calculator values.
  • Two new user determined side categories, one for hot and one for cold sides.

The International Version is exactly the same, however every measure has been converted to its metric equivalent.
